AirAsia launches 2nd daily Bali-Perth service

Thursday, 9 July 2009

Low-cost carrier, AirAsia will add a second daily frequency to its Bali-Perth route, effective from August 19th 2009.

To celebrate the launch of the second Bali-Perth service, AirAsia will be offering an all in fare from IDR 299,000 (AUD99).

The daily flight from Bali-Perth opens for sale for the booking period from 9 July to 12 July 2009 for the travel period from 19 August 2009 to 30 April 2010.

There are limited promotional seats, which are available exclusively on a first come, first served basis online via www.airasia.com and mobile.airasia.com

Kathleen Tan, Regional Head of Commercial, AirAsia Group says, "Bali-Perth has always been on our network radar as we are confident this route will perform well.

"Bali is a highly popular and desired destination amongst Australians and Perth is underserved with steep airfares.

"The overwhelming response with seats snapped up in 3 hours on AirAsia.com when we opened for sale last May, took us by surprise.

"This huge response clearly demonstrates a latent demand for this connection. Likewise, there is a strong Indonesian community residing and pursuing studies in Western Australia.

"Our loads for forthcoming 3 months are running high past 90% and we feel it is timely to add a 2nd frequency.

"We stay true to our brand promise and are committed to offer the lowest fares and value to our guests,"
"Our recent initiative to remove the administration fee reiterates AirAsia's commitment to offer big value so everyone can fly following our move to abolish fuel surcharge last year.

"Bali, a highly desired exotic holiday destination captures the hearts and imagination of young and old and with AirAsia adding Perth to its network, Western Australians now have another choice of holiday option with our everyday low fares.

"In addition, guests can look forward to our Bali hub as gateway to connect to Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and another recently added popular tourist spot, Bandung, all at our amazing low fares."
AirAsia through its holiday division GoHoliday, www.goholiday.airasia.com is also offering its guests Free Rooms* when they book at its partner hotels in Bali such as Hard Rock Hotel and Nathan Hotel or the hotels in Perth which include Rendezvous Hotel or Sheraton Hotel.
