Sales mission gives insider's perspective into Bali

The Visit Indonesia Tourism Office held a packed out Bali Village sales mission at the Moore Park Golf club on Monday night.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, in conjunction with representatives from 23 Balinese hotels and attractions educated agents on their products.
The hotels which were featured on the night included: Bali Safari & Marine Park, Ayana Resort and Spa, Hard Rock Hotel Bali, The Seminyak and Sentosa Private Villas and Spa.
The format for the evening was based on a 'speed networking' concept, which saw hotel and attraction representatives rotate every 3 minutes to speak to a table of participating agents and wholesalers.
An Indonesian spokeswoman reported that visitor arrivals to Indonesia have jumped 14.6 percent to 1,611,000 in January – March 2010 from 1,406,000 arrivals in the comparable period last year.
The spokeswoman announced that the total target for Indonesian arrivals this year was 7 million.
The Bali Sales mission travelled to Perth, Melbourne and Darwin last week before arriving in Sydney on Monday.
